Nicole Cobb is a dedicated equine professional who enjoys sharing her years of experience as a top level competitor, clinician and instructor. Nicole specializes in developing young horses and training juniors and amateurs for success; “I look for what a student/horse does well naturally, and utilize that as stepping stone to progress their training through the levels”, states Nicole. Whether you ride hunters, jumpers, equitation or even just recreationally, the training program offered at Mountain View Stables works to instill and refine the basic fundamental principles of riding needed for correct and successful riding at any level. Fundamentals Nicole learned as a junior rider working with Portland trainers Lee Jorgenson and Kevin Freeman, a three-time Olympic equestrian, and still refines today.

Nicole feels that to be a successful teacher, one must also be a motivated student. "I take a lot of lessons and go to almost as many clinics as I teach," Cobb says. "For me, this is a sport that requires good trainers to be lifelong students.” Cobb prides herself on being a thinking rider as well as a highly motivated teacher and trainer.

Marta Batha has ridden under Cobb's tutelage for a number of years and couldn't be happier. "Nicole is a fabulous trainer," says Batha, "She understands how I ride and understands me, sometimes better than I understand myself, and she treats you with respect."
